eothermal energy, generated by converting the hot water or steam from
deep beneath the Earth's surface into electricity, emits very little air
pollution at a low price. Right now, geothermal plants in the U.S. provide
electricity for 3.5 million homes. And geothermal reserves that have already
been found could supply our entire country with electricity for 30 years,
with no new technological advances.
